Scholarship Programme for Diaspora Seychellois and NRI Indian Children for Undergraduate Courses

Government of India, Ministry of External Affairs, has been offering a Scholarship Programme for children of India Diaspora (Seychellois of Indian origin) and Indian expatriates  (who  have been abroad for nine years) in Seychelles  to pursue Under Graduation/degree courses in Central Universities, NITs, IIITs, Schools of Planning and Architecture, ‘A’ Grade Institutions accredited by NAAC and recognized by UGC, and other institutions under DASA scheme in India.

Under this scheme, financial assistance upto 75% of the total Institutional Economic Cost subject to a maximum of US$ 4500 per annum is paid by Government of India. 

Students born on or after 1st October 1997 and before 1st October 2001 are eligible to apply. Monthly income of parents should not exceed US$ 4500. 

Interested students may please visit the website   http://spdcindia.gov.in  to get more information. It is the responsibility of the students to secure admission in any eligible Indian university/college before filing online application for this scholarship at the above website. 

The above scheme is in addition to the ICCR Education Scholarship awarded to Diaspora children (Indian origin Seychellois) by Government of India.  Online application for the ICCR scheme is available at  http://a2ascholarships.iccr.gov.in

Last date for both the schemes is 28th February 2018.
